We are pleased to announce that Celona Consulting has been appointed to lead the technical review and coordination of a partially completed residential development at 223 Oxford Road, Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
Unlike many of our projects, this is not a new development starting from first principles. The scheme comprises four residential apartments and had already reached an advanced stage of construction before the project stalled. Following the property’s sale at auction, our client has appointed Celona Consulting to assess the existing works and provide the professional coordination needed to bring the development through to successful completion.
A Collaborative Professional Team
Successfully delivering a project of this nature relies on the expertise of a coordinated multidisciplinary team.
Celona Consulting is pleased to be working alongside Cherwell District Council Building Control, ensuring the development progresses in accordance with the Building Regulations, together with EMI Consulting as Structural Engineers and an independent Quantity Surveying practice responsible for cost management and commercial advice.
Working collaboratively, the team will review the existing construction, identify outstanding technical and compliance matters, and develop practical solutions that enable the project to progress safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Bringing a Stalled Development Back to Life
Taking over a partially completed building presents a unique set of technical challenges.
Before construction can recommence, it is essential to establish exactly what has been built, verify compliance with the approved planning permission and Building Regulations, review the structural design, and identify any additional works required before construction can continue.
Our appointment includes reviewing the available design information, carrying out technical inspections, coordinating the wider consultant team and supporting our client throughout the remaining stages of the development.
More Than Architectural Design
Projects like this require much more than producing drawings.
They demand technical problem-solving, design management, consultant coordination and a thorough understanding of construction, regulatory compliance and project delivery.
At Celona Consulting, we enjoy tackling challenging projects where experience and collaboration can unlock developments that might otherwise remain incomplete.
